Document Preparation Service
ezysplit is a document preparation platform, not a law firm. We help you organise and present your financial information in the format required for Australian Family Court proceedings.
Not Legal Advice
The information and services provided by ezysplit do not constitute legal advice.
We provide:
- Tools to help you organise your financial information
- General information about the Financial Statement process
- Document formatting to meet court requirements
- Technology to streamline data entry (Open Banking, AI valuations)
We do not provide:
- Legal advice or legal opinions
- Recommendations on property settlement strategies
- Guidance on court procedures or legal rights
- Representation in legal matters
Consult a Lawyer
For advice about your specific legal situation, property settlement, spousal maintenance, parenting matters, or any other family law issues, you should consult a qualified Australian family lawyer.
We recommend seeking legal advice:
- Before signing any legal documents
- Before filing documents with the court
- If your situation is complex (business interests, trusts, international assets)
- If your separation is contested or acrimonious
- If you are unsure about your legal rights or obligations
Accuracy of Information
While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information:
- Laws and court requirements may change
- General information may not apply to your specific circumstances
- We make no guarantees about the completeness or accuracy of general information
- You are responsible for verifying that your Financial Statement is accurate and complete
AI Valuations
The AI-powered property and vehicle valuations provided by ezysplit are estimates only. They are:
- Based on available market data and algorithms
- Not formal valuations from licensed professionals
- Subject to inherent limitations and potential inaccuracies
- Intended as a starting point, not a definitive value
For court proceedings, especially contested matters, you may need to obtain formal valuations from:
- Licensed property valuers (for real estate)
- Qualified vehicle valuers (for cars, boats, etc.)
- Business valuers (for business interests)
Open Banking Data
While Open Banking provides data directly from your bank:
- You should verify imported data for accuracy
- Timing differences may affect balances shown
- Not all accounts or transactions may be captured
- You remain responsible for the accuracy of your Financial Statement
Court Acceptance
While ezysplit documents follow the format of Form 13 used by Australian family courts:
- We cannot guarantee court acceptance of any document
- Courts may have specific requirements for your matter
- Judges have discretion in what documents they accept
- We recommend having a lawyer review your Financial Statement before filing
Duty of Disclosure
Under Australian family law, you have a continuing duty of disclosure. This means you must:
- Disclose all relevant financial information
- Update your disclosure if circumstances change
- Provide truthful and complete information
ezysplit provides the platform, but you are legally responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. Failure to disclose assets or providing false information can result in serious legal consequences.
No Guarantee of Outcomes
Using ezysplit does not guarantee any particular outcome in your family law matter. Property settlement outcomes depend on many factors including:
- Your specific circumstances
- Applicable law and precedents
- Negotiations with your ex-partner
- Court decisions (if your matter goes to hearing)

ezysplit integrates with third-party services (banks for Open Banking, payment processors, etc.). We are not responsible for:
- The availability or accuracy of third-party services
